There they plotted the downfall of James II and replace him with the Protestant William of Orange (William III). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The building did fall into disrepair but was saved by the local community when the Chesterfield Brewery Company transferred ownership to a group of trustees.  Today it is a museum and under the ownership of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chesterfield.gov.uk\/explore-chesterfield\/revolution-house.aspx\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.chesterfield.gov.uk\/explore-chesterfield\/revolution-house.aspx\">Chesterfield Borough Council<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"520\" height=\"390\" src=\"https:\/\/stbartholomew.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/07D62569-827C-4495-8698-EEB22FA0A111.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stbartholomew.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/07D62569-827C-4495-8698-EEB22FA0A111.jpeg 520w, https:\/\/stbartholomew.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/07D62569-827C-4495-8698-EEB22FA0A111-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of lockdown due to COVID-19 the Revolution House can not open this Christmas however they are able to share some pictures from previous years.
